WHAT WILL WE DO?
Welcome DINNER
6/17 | 6:00PM - 8:00PM
Shoreway Acres Inn (side lawn) | 59 Shore Street, Falmouth, MA
Help us kick off the weekend with a casual picnic featuring food trucks, ice cream, and lawn games. There is a pool at Shoreway, so feel free to bring your swimsuit!
Daytime fun & Exploration
6/18 | All activities are within easy walking distance of one another!
9:30 AM: Scenic/Ocean-view 5k Run (meet at the Woods Hole Library/run at a social 10 min/mile pace).
10:30 AM: Guided Walking Tour of Woods Hole (meet at the Woods Hole Historical Museum).
11:45 AM: Beach Hang at Stony Beach (note the location change; this beach isn’t actually stony). Feel free to bring your bathing suit, but the water may still be a little chilly.
For the Saturday AM activities, unfortunately, street parking in Woods Hole is quite limited. Here are a few other options:
There are two parking lots (1, 2) on Water Street. They fill up quickly.
Take a $5 bus from Falmouth to Woods Hole. Reserve ticket/view schedule here.
Park at Taft’s Playground.
Consider ride-sharing, carpooling, biking, etc. The Shining Sea Bikeway runs directly from the center of Falmouth to the center of Woods Hole, and you can rent bikes right nearby! (The bikeway is a great activity for the rest of your visit, too.)
THE Party
6/18 | 4:30PM - 9:00PM
Highfield Hall | 56 Highfield Drive, Falmouth, MA
You can expect delicious vegetarian appetizers and dinner, fabulous cocktails, lawn games, board games, roots music, and good conversation. Not included: an actual wedding ceremony (we’ll already be married!), meat/fish (ewwww), or a dance floor. The dress code is “Garden Party Cape Chic Tie Optional Semi-Formal-Casual.”
THE Aftermath
6/19 | 11:30AM - 2:00PM
Aquatic Brewing | 661 Main Street, Falmouth, MA
Join us for Aquatic’s weekly 5k at 11:30 or just come for beers and goodbyes at 12PM.

Where Should I Stay?
We have hotel blocks at two local hotels, both within walking distance of the Saturday party at Highfield Hall. There are lots of other great inns and Airbnbs in the area - but if you want to stay somewhere else, consider booking early as some places are already full!
Shoreway Acres Inn
Shoreway Acres is casual, budget-friendly, kid-friendly, and has indoor AND outdoor pools plus a big grassy lawn in front. We will host our Friday Night Welcome Picnic here!
To book in this block, please call (508) 540-3000 and specify the Selker/Solow wedding.
Inn on the Square
Inn on the Square is a little more upscale (and pricier). It has a pool too!
To book, please use this link or call 1-888-744-5394 and ask for the Solow-Selker Wedding Block. The block is small, but if it runs out, you should still be able to book for a similar price.

What do we look like?
What do WE Want?
No gifts, please! No, really. We mean it.
If you’re able, we’d be delighted if you could make a charitable donation to one or two of our favorite organizations. Mid-Atlantic Border Collie Rescue, Byte Back, Promise Project, or Pathways to Housing DC.
You can give through our registry website, which will record and tally your gift - and we’d encourage you to give there so we can write you a thank you note!
What don’t i know?
Are we going to see you get married? No. We’re going to have a private ceremony a few days beforehand with our parents and siblings. The good news is that you’ll have our undivided attention Friday-Sunday.
What’s the actual dress code for the Saturday party? We don’t have a dress code, but to set expectations: Paul may or may not wear a tie with his trademark button-down, khakis, and blazer. Kata will probably end up wearing Birkenstocks and a sundress. Don’t overthink it—wear something comfortable, don’t look like a slob, and check the weather a few days out. This is good life advice too, by the way.
If I’m flying in, do I need to rent a car? We recommend renting a car. You can probably get away without one, but it may be a bit of a hassle. You can catch a bus from Logan Airport to Falmouth, stay in downtown Falmouth, take a few cabs or carpool, and walk to the Saturday party. But if renting a car is within your budget, do it! It will allow you to see more of the Cape!
What’s the deal with babysitters? If you’re interested in hiring a babysitter, let us know, and we’ll send you a list of local babysitters to contact (vetted by Kata’s mom and associates). Kids are welcome at any or all of the activities, though!
What are some excellent things to eat/see/do/drink in Woods Hole and Falmouth?

Best Beach: The one within walking distance from where you’re staying.
Best Bookstore: Eight Cousins.
Best Lunch: Quicks Hole Taqueria or the Pickle Jar.
Best Sightseeing: Nobska Lighthouse.

Best Kid Fun: Woods Hole Science Aquarium.
Strangest Winery you’ll ever visit (but maybe worth experience if you have some time to kill): Cape Cod Winery.
Best Hike within walking distance of the reception venue (especially in the early morning!): Beebe Woods & Peterson Farm - map here!
how will you protect me from covid-19?
Unfortunately, we don’t know what the pandemic will be like in June 2022. For now, here are some ways we intend to make the weekend safe:
Vaccine Mandate (with appropriate boosters) for everyone who is old enough to get vaccinated.
Rapid Tests. We reserve the right to rapid-test all guests before any potential indoor activity. We love rapid tests!!!!!!!
Outdoor Activities. Weather permitting, the entire weekend will happen outside, including Saturday night dinner under a big tent. If the weather is uncooperative, we’ll double down on ventilation and rapid tests.
